چکیده

Abstract Anethum graveolens L. is a plant belong to umbelliferae family. The aim of this study compare the phytochemical different volatile oil extract from fresh air and commercial dry A. market in Karbala Iraq, by soxhlet apparatus for bout 24 hours, results indicated percentage oils differed significantly as result being affected type plant, A.graveolens gave height (4. 17%, while lower (2. 5%), Then screen wer performed revealed positive Saponin, Phenol Tanin, Glycoside, Alkaloid Flavonoid showed Tanin negative results. Gas chromatography mass-spectrometer analysis were done that essential 30 compounds had highest compound concentration Hexadecanoic acid, methyl ester reaching it (28.93%) followed 9-Octadecenoic (27.60%), 9.12-Octadecadienoic acid (10.52%). , contain Cyclohexanecarboxylic pentad has (21.41%) Thymol 12.41%, then 2-Dodecylcycobutanone with (8.81%).

The effects of Anethum graveolens L. on female reproductive system.

The effects of Anethum graveolens L. (dill) extracts on the female reproductive system were studied in 54 Wistar female rats with regular estrous cycle in six groups. The experimental groups were fed with 0.045 g/kg and 0.45 g/kg of aqueous extract, 0.5 g/kg and 5 g/kg of ethanol extract for 10 days. The sham group was fed with solvent and the controls received no treatment. The estrous cycle c...

The Effect of Conjunctive Irrigation with Seawater and Fresh Water on Yield and Yield Components of Dill (Anethum graveolens L.)

Due to the limited freshwater, farmers have to use exotic waters such as seawater. One of the management methods is the conjunction use of fresh and seawater. The goal of this study was to investigate the effect of conjunctive irrigation with seawater and fresh water on the yield and yield components of Dill (Anethum graveolens L.) in greenhouse conditions. The research was done based on a comp...

Study of the traces of nature in herbal deposits of a thousand-year-old Alembic glass analyzed and processed by the Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometer (GC-MS).

During the Islamic periods, the containers characterized by narrow or pear-shaped glass-body with a round bottom and long drainage pipe or tube were known, but rarely have been studied. There are three different hypotheses for applications of such containers. A cupping glass(Shakh-i hajamat) for phlebotomize in medicine, “Alembic” for chemical or alchemical experiments, or containers for pharma...
